Walking Trails
There are a variety of marked walking trails on the farm, catering for different levels of fitness. All of the walking trails traverse the game area and so wild animals may be encountered en route. For this reason, we ask that all children be accompanied by an adult at all times. Because there are buffalo on the property, certain trails may be closed to walking at certain times for the safety of our guests. A walk to the Treetops Lookout point is a comfortable distance for young and old, while longer trails may be used for running...
When walking in the bush, we advise the following:
• Wear closed shoes with soles that have grip
• Carry drinking water
• Always take care to watch where you put your feet. Snakes will avoid humans, but they may be sluggish and unaware of your approach if cold.
• (If you encounter a snake, quietly retreat. The snake will be eager to escape but will be dangerous if threatened.)
• Never put your fingers under a rock or reach into a hole.
• Carry all your litter home with you.
