THE LAPALALA WILDERNESS Lapalala is one of the true jewels of the Waterberg. It extends over 35 000 hectares of some of the most beautiful terrain in South Africa, with stunning views, fabulous historic sites, and lots of game. Running through the middle of Lapalala is the Palala River, internationally famous for its pristine state. The rivers cuts a dramatic gorge offering stunning view points from its top, and bushman rock art hidden under overhangs cut into it’s plunging sides.
